1. What is the difference between a Social Sorority and a Panhellenic Sorority?

-Delta Nu Zeta does not have a national chapter or a house. Our Alpha Chapter is here at Florida State University and our Beta Chapter is at the University of Florida! We are a much smaller group of girls, with a much smaller semesterly cost. We love the togetherness we create by being a smaller, more tight knit community. Mainly, we are not on the Panhellenic Council, so we are in no way associated with FSU or UF's Panhellenic Greek Life.

2. How big of a time commitment is being in ∆NZ?

-Delta Nu Zeta sisters meet weekly for chapter, and try to make bi-weekly or tri-weekly volunteering or fun, social activities. Most sisters will also become very close with each other, and often get together in their spare time outside of sorority activities. This way, you are not completely bogged down with all ∆NZ, and don't forget that you go to FSU to get an education first!

3. Do you do everything else that a Panhellenic sorority would do?

-Absolutely, but ours is on a much smaller and more exciting scale! We participate in Homecoming, Relay for Life, Dance Marathon, Hayride, Semi-Formal and Formal, Spring Weekend, Sisterhood Retreat, Football Games, Daddy-Daughter and Mother-Daughter Weekends, IMs, socials and so much more!

4. Do you have any events before Rush Week to meet the sisters?

-Yes! Go check out our "Rush DNZ" tab for all the information on upcoming events!

5. Does the sorority have a meal plan?

- No, we do not since we don't have a house. This allows us to make our dues cheaper!

6. What are dues, what do they go towards, and how much exactly are they?

-Dues are a semester fee that every sister must pay. They go towards all of our activities and fees that the sorority must pay for the semester. For our Nu members, the cost of the first semester is $325. However, when they become a sister, it is only $250 a semester.

7. I want to become a sister, now what?

-Check out our Spring 2017 Rush information under the "Rush DNZ" tab as well as the event on Facebook!

8. What happens after Rush Week?

-After you have accepted a bid from Delta Nu Zeta, you will begin a 6-week period, where you will be a "Nu" sister. During this time, you will go through Nu Member education and learn all the fun stuff there is to know about Delta Nu Zeta! The Nu period consists of 6-weeks of getting to know the Sisters, the founding facts of Delta Nu Zeta, and the Greek system at Florida State and beyond. During these weeks you will meet at a Nu Chapter every Wednesday and go to events being held by other Sisters. Within this time, you can decide if Delta Nu Zeta is the right fit for you. It will show you how much time should be committed and give you a sneak peek into what it means to be a sister! Once you have passed a final test (we promise it's not scary at all!) at the end of the 6-week period, you will be initiated into the Sisterhood of Delta Nu Zeta!

9. What are the requirements for becoming a sister of Delta Nu Zeta?

-Attend Rush Week

-Have and maintain a 2.75 GPA

-Complete 20 hours of community service through Delta Nu Zeta a semester (will be provided)
